Essential Functions Expected from You
- Develop, validate, and execute algorithms and mathematical/computer simulation models for health technology assessment (HTA).
- Design mathematical/computational models to assess clinical and/or cost-effectiveness of new medical technologies and interventions (e.g., treatments, vaccines, diagnostic tools).
- Review the published literature in the relevant therapeutic area to inform modeling/design choices and parameter estimations.
- Contribute to the development of project deliverables including manuscripts, technical reports, and abstracts, scientific conference presentations.
Required Qualifications
- At least a Master’s degree in a quantitatively oriented field such as industrial engineering, operations research, economics, applied mathematics, statistics, or computer science (or 2 years of work experience in a relevant field)
- Prior exposure to mathematical/computational modeling and computer simulations
- Strong programming skills in at least one of the following languages: Python, R, C++/C#, Java.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- A PhD degree in a quantitatively oriented discipline such as industrial engineering, operations research, economics, applied mathematics, statistics, or computer science Expertise in mathematical/computational modeling approaches (e.g., microsimulation models, agent-based models, compartmental modelsapplied to healthcare.
- Knowledge of statistical software packages.
- Proven ability and interest for drafting manuscripts and publishing in relevant scientific journals
